Rhymes of this word

@Chernorizets Hey, about this word's rhymes, and rhymes of words like it in general: how do the two rules you showed square with each other? Admittedly, there is no other possible rhyme for this word, because it's stressed on the last syllable, and so any word that rhymes with it also has to have a final, stressed syllable with an /a/ vowel in it; but I thought it's not supposed to be considered a rhyme with other words, like e.g. зърна́? „Само крайните гласни са еднакви“, нали? It sounds enough of a rhyme to me, but... I don't know... what do your thoughts say? Kiril kovachev (talk・contribs) 21:09, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

@Kiril kovachev in this case, since there are no consonants before/after the stressed word-final vowel, I believe the only possible rhymes would have to have a vowel before the á. See the rhyme page I created for some examples. Chernorizets (talk) 21:16, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

@Chernorizets I see, that makes sense, I guess—it doesn't fit to me the thought that коса́ and зърна́ don't rhyme, though; by all expectations, ending in the same suffix should make them rhyme... but if that's what it says, then I can accept it at any rate. @Kiril kovachev there are different kinds of rhymes. What I'm describing is closer to a perfect rhyme, but imperfect rhymes do exist and are used all the time in poetry, rap, etc. I'd say that зърна̀ rhymes better with сърна or вълна̀ than with коса̀. But more importantly, I think we should just be consistent - the generic "Bulgarian Rhymes" page doesn't yet exist (see the redlink on either of our two existing rhymes pages), so we can create it and spell out the rules we intend to follow. @Chernorizets It was my understanding (quite likely mistaken) that simply stripping the everything before the final stressed vowel gave the exact, perfect rhyme, which I suppose is what led to the confusion. If we have a resource to go by, then that's great: I was just recently wondering about whether there were any subtleties to rhymes, and clearly under the rules I thought it went by, it wouldn't align with that Wikipedia page. I'm happy to go with that, with time, whenever we figure out that page. I didn't even realize there was a Rhymes "hub" to describe the scheme in the first place. Those rules sound good, anyway.
