@Benwing2: Hi. Sorry, I got an undesired category "Ukrainian Ukrainian". I just want to make the mythology Ukrainian, like Category:ru:Slavic mythology. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 23:23, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Atitarev The label "Ukrainian" was defined as an alias of "Ukraine", which was defined as a regional label for all languages (hence "Ukrainian Ukrainian" when the current language is Ukrainian), even though it's used only for Category:Ukrainian Russian. I changed it to a Russian-specific label. Benwing2 (talk) 00:36, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This is defined for all regions so, because of unexpected minority languages. There may be Ukrainian Polish, Ukrainian German, Ukrainian Karaim; though perhaps those regionalisms probably extend(ed) to neighbouring regions and one can use more specific regions like “Galician German” and “Volhynian German”. What I would have done instead is to code {{lb|uk|Ukrainian mythology}} to not categorize into Category:uk:Mythology but manually with {{topics}} into Category:uk:Mythological creatures. @Fay Freak: It makes sense. @Benwing2? --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 01:04, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Fay Freak, Atitarev Yes, I'm aware of the possibility of using the label for other languages but the fact that no one has done so suggests it's not something to worry about, and prohibiting it from being used the way Anatoli is using it seems too high a cost to me.
