@Atitarev, Wanjuscha Could you supply a usage example for defn 1? My dictionary has Он ревну́ет жену́ к Са́ше "he is jealous of Sasha because his wife likes him" but I don't want to copy this directly. Benwing2 (talk) 22:33, 10 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

I hope my translation to English is correct but in Russian it's "ревновать кого-либо к кому-либо". The direct object is the reason of jealousy and к + dative is the perceived rival. Your dictionary describes a situation with "because his wife likes him" but "his" wife may not like Sasha, the jealousy may be unjustified. "his wife likes him" seems like made up. --Anatoli T. Example for sense 1[edit]

The translation does not make sense. I don’t know what it means to be jealous of person A because of person B. It would be great if someone chose a new example or improved the translation. Zblumens (talk) 01:27, 7 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
