@Vahagn Petrosyan so this page has the hy-pron for both lects, and the conj for the reformed/eastern. and the ազատութիւն page has the no pronunciation and the hyw declension. How about I remove the hyw pronunciation from the reformed ություն entries and I put the pron in the traditional entries? Same issue with արքա and արքայ. I can do that as a later clean-up process liek how I edited the hy-pron entries last year. Hovsepig (talk) 18:51, 23 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Hovsepig: This is a difficult issue. No one has ever attempted a single Armenian dictionary for both orthographies. Eastern Armenian dictionaries normalize Western Armenian words to reformed orthography, e.g. խոսիլ. Malkhasyants, which includes Eastern, Western, Middle and Old Armenian, uses traditional orthography for all of them. Let me think for a few days how best to handle the two orthographies on Wiktionary. Vahag (talk) 19:53, 23 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
yeah no rush. this is really low priority for me. im cool if someone in the future instead does it, like one of those wikipedia volunteers, in a non-immediate future. Hovsepig (talk) 20:25, 23 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Hovsepig: After taking more than a few days to think about this, I believe the best solution is showing the Western Armenian inflection at the main lemma page (which will be in reformed orthography) by overriding the headword with head=. You can replace {{PAGENAME}} in your templates with {{{head|{{PAGENAME}}}}}. There is a search and replace button at the top right corner when you edit a page. @Vahagn Petrosyan:that's a good idea. i'll add that strategy to one of the hyw conj/decl discussions. i wont be adding the templates to all the words soon-soon. im thinking i'll eventually dedicate a week in the summer to just doing it all the time, like how i did the pronunciations.
