hṙovm-ay-akan

[edit]

Isn't it from Ῥωμαῖος (Rhōmaîos), rather than the native Հռովմ (Hṙovm)? --Z 11:47, 5 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Yes, probably, although I do not find published sources. All other formations with -այ- (-ay-) have a Greek counterpart. եբրայեցի (ebrayecʻi) : Ἑβραῖος (Hebraîos), մակաբայեցի (makabayecʻi) : Μᾰκκᾰβαῖος (Makkabaîos). --Vahag (talk) 17:47, 5 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
