@Vahagn Petrosyan I think you should disable schwa epenthesis before շX because շ is rather sporadic in when it triggers epenthesis Hovsepig (talk) 04:12, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

- @Vahagn Petrosyan: Adjarian 1971:242 + BardakjianThomson1997:243 report շտապ triggers a schwa (as does շտեմարան). While շփոթ doesn’t and շկահել variably does (I may have misspelled these words). The current entry didn’t have a schwa before I updated it to hy-pron Hovsepig (talk) 08:16, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Hovsepig: շփոթ is pronounced շըփոթ and is not comparable. Some people perhaps pronounce շկահել as շըկահել and therefore do not add initial schwa. I don't think the above rule is sporadic. --Vahag (talk) 09:55, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
