@Vahagn Petrosyan: I am not sure about this etymology. I tnink it is an ideophonic word. Compare this word and dial. սուստ (sust) with Central Kurdish وس (wis) and وست (wist, quiet, silent).--Calak (talk) 10:50, 16 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Calak: I don't doubt its ideophonic character, but the correspondences with Turkish are too many to assume independent creations. Both are used as interjections and adverbs, սուս ըլլալ (sus əllal) corresponds to sus olmak, սուս-փուս (sus-pʻus) corresponds to suspus. Dialectal -տ (-t) addition to words ending in (-s) is common: e.g. Սալմաս (Salmas) ~ Սալմաստ (Salmast), կալբաս (kalbas) ~ կալբաստ (kalbast), էսպես (ēspes) ~ էսպեստ (ēspest). --Vahag (talk) 11:19, 16 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. CK equivalents are interjection as well. For սուս ըլլալ we have same thing too.--Calak (talk) 11:39, 16 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
