@Calak: No, Armenian տ (t) comes from PIE *d. According to Klingenschmitt, the present stem տան- (tan-) is based on *deh₃-, whereas the aorist stem տար- (tar-) is borrowed from the Iranian root you mention (with տար- (tar-)). This is uncertain. --Vahag (talk) 12:05, 12 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
