I wonder whether Persian کودک (kudak) and what is mentioned there related to children is the same word as Arabic كُذِين (kuḏīn, beetle) and what is mentioned there, the semantic development being like visible in Ottoman Turkish قونداق (kondak, kundak). @Vahagn Petrosyan.
