@Vahagn Petrosyan: Hard to accept this etymology based on Cabolov's opinion. His book is full of incorrect etymologies. For more information about that book, pleaze read this review from Garnik Asatrian. Thanks.--Calak (talk) 19:30, 31 July 2018 (UTC)

- @Vahagn Petrosyan: All I know is that Kurdish has same development as Kurdish (see Reconstruction:Proto-Iranian/kánĵuš for more). So we can take OIr. *nz > nǰ as a common development in Kurdish language.--Calak (talk) 18:51, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
- Based on Asatrian's review, if a word is common in the "Muslim" languages of the region, then other things being equal, the Kurdish is more likely to be borrowed than inherited. ESIJa agrees, that Kurdish is borrowed. --Vahag (talk) 12:37, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
