@Prahlad balaji I put "corruption" for this and a few other terms because they are cases where one form comes from another. "Variant" is where both forms commonly come from one form. So for ex. शिथिर (śithira) and शिथिल (śithila) are each other's variations but both are corruptions of *śṛthirá ~ *śṛthilá. Of course, I also use that word only when referring to sound changes within Sanskrit; so for instance I won't say Prakrit putta is a "corruption" of Sanskrit putrá. -- 𝓑𝓱𝓪𝓰𝓪𝓭𝓪𝓽𝓽𝓪(𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓴) 10:00, 25 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Also, since अण्ड and आण्ड are in the same language, the former is not put in the descendants section. Compare the pair of विकृत (vikṛta) and विकट (vikaṭa), both Vedic, with विकट being "from" विकृत but shown in the related terms section. -- 𝓑𝓱𝓪𝓰𝓪𝓭𝓪𝓽𝓽𝓪(𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓴) 10:09, 25 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Bhagadatta: {{see desc}} is meant to be used only in the Descendants section; therefore I placed अण्ड (aṇḍa) as a descendant. Since the qualifier later form is mentioned, I think this change should be okay; and after all, the chronolects are also different (आण्ड (āṇḍa) being Vedic Sanskrit).
