Iṇḍar[edit]

@Queen Khaira: I know both Gurmukhi and Shahmukhi, and I’m neither Indian nor Pakistani, so don’t project your insecurities on me. Apparently you don’t know the difference between opinions and facts. Anyway, please provide a source for your dubious claim about Iṇḍar with a retroflex. If you don’t I will remove it. Foreverknowledge (talk) 15:29, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oh gosh, calling me insecure while you personally DM me to cry about your delusional fantasies. The only person insecure here is you & you know that well, that is the only fact that you should know. Here's another fact though, if you can handle it, there are 108 million Punjabis in Pakistan, & there are about 37 million in India. Guess which is the "predominant" script? Now can you guess whether that's a fact or opinion? You want to cry about it more? Be my guest, but do it privately so I don't have to laugh so hard at you.
Honestly, if you didn't act so immature by replacing my contribution with a completely different script, & then calling it "predominant" out of literally nowhere, we could have had a civil exchange like normal human beings. I am not a vindictive person, but if you don't know how to behave then I will naturally push back.
The form Iṇḍar is in DSAL "The Panjabi Dictionary" if your so curious. Go obsess over it. Queen Khaira (talk) 23:41, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Most Pakistani Punjabis use Punjabi as a spoken language only and use Urdu as their written language instead. Punjabi is hardly used for writing in Pakistan, which is why Gurmukhi is the predominant script of the language despite India having a smaller Punjabi population. Anyway, there is no point in discussing any of this with you since you are unable to comprehend it and are engaging in personal attacks. The DSAL Punjabi dictionary (which uses Gurmukhi and not Shahmukhi) has the form IṆDAR ਇੰਦਰ with dental D. The dot under N indicates a homorganic nasal or nasal vowel in that dictionary, which is different from the transliteration used in Wiktionary. Therefore, I am removing your misinformed entry of Iṇḍar.--Foreverknowledge (talk) 01:42, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop the personal insults and provide sources that back up your claims. This is not the place for vendettas. —Caoimhin ceallach (talk) 16:17, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
(Stepping in a bit late here, but) Please note that this is not 4chan or Reddit, so cut out remarks like "go cry about it" and so on; there is a degree of civility expected from you when you are interacting with your fellow editors. I also deleted your lengthy paragraph of an edit summary which had nothing useful in it and contained needlessly antagonizing remarks. Go elsewhere if you're looking for a flamewar. -- 𝘗𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘺𝘪(𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬) 08:50, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
