@Benwing2, AryamanA Hi. I made an example entry based on प्रायापिज़्म (prāyāpizma) case in Module_talk:hi-noun#Issues_of_various_sorts. Of interest is the transliteration/pronunciation of -ism suffix in Hindi. It seems all variants are attestable -izm(a)/-ijm(a)/-izam/-ijam:

  1. कम्युनिज़म (kamyunizam)
  2. कम्युनिजम (kamyunijam) - nuqtaless
  3. कम्युनिज़्म (kamyunizma) - virama, nuqta
  4. कम्युनिज्म (kamyunijma) - virama, nuqtaless

Should all the forms be transliterated as "kamyunizm"? @AryamanA, please check the pronunciation and transliteration. --00:27, 19 August 2020 (UTC)

@Atitarev, I think you forgot a tilde and your ping didn't get through. @AryamanA, Benwing2 PUC12:13, 19 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Benwing2, AryamanA, PUC: Yes, thanks, @PUC.
If the weakened shwa is present in any position - zəm or zmə, I still want to know how we are going to transliterate this. Am I right to say that @AryamanA prefers -zma, as in this discussion regarding क़िस्म (qisma)? qisma or qism?--Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 12:25, 19 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Atitarev, Benwing2: I favour zam here, zm for ज़्म (zma). I also favour क़िस्म (qism). I believe the z/sam, z/smă variants should only be shown in the pronunciation section. Maybe we should have some sort of clear label for the cases where schwas are inserts in the middle of clusters in some pronunciations, perhaps epenthetic schwa pronunciations? —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 14:02, 20 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@AryamanA, Benwing2: Thanks, please review the results at कम्युनिज़म (kamyunizam) and कम्युनिज़्म (kamyunizm), including manual transliterations of alt forms. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 02:43, 23 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
