Borrowed?[edit]

@Aryman Hi, is it borrowed or derived. It was used for many Ahom kings as their Assamese name. But its spelling is same and also the pronunciation is hard, which usually seems like newly borrowed. But some neighboring Sino-Tibetan languages like Bodo has kinggo, which is probably borrowed from Assamese or other Bengali-Assamese languages. @Sagir Ahmed Msa: I think it's borrowed actually. Comparative Dictionary of the Indo-Aryan Languages doesn't list Assamese or Bengali in the derived terms. —Aryaman (मुझसे बात करो) 15:17, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
