Let's get serious and add an etymology section to this entry. Does the word kaṟi derive from கறுப்பு (kaṟuppu), meaning "blackness," based on the idea that "kaṟi" might have referred to things that are naturally black (like black pepper), or which become black (cooked food)? 98.123.38.211 16:51, 16 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
