@Vahagn Petrosyan: Ay! While looking through things to find მეზვი because of your comment, we found the answer we sought! Shalva Gabeskiria agrees with how we perceived things. მეზვი/ნეზვი seem like seemingly parallel forms, could be that former is a dialectal version. anyways he writes this:
"ასევე გაუმართლებელია ბოზის თურქიზმად კვალიფიცირება. ქართ. მეზვი / ნეზვი : ლაზ. ბოზო-მოთა „ქალიშვილი“, ანუ ლაზურმა ფორმამ სომხურში ქართულში დადასტურებული მნიშვნელობით სიტყვა ბოზ მოგვცა, რომელიც ამ უკანასკნელიდან დაბრუნდა ქართულში."
"It is also improvable to classify ბოზი as a Turkism. Geo. მეზვი/ნეზვი : Laz ბოზო-მოთა, thus Laz gave us the Armenian word attested in Georgian - boz, which came back into Georgian from the aforementioned last language (i.e. Armenian)."
