Usage[edit]

@Tooironic Literary? Any evidence that this word is used in contemporary time? Dokurrat (talk) 04:51, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. I've only seen it in the 漢書. Feel free to change it to "archaic" if you want. ---> Tooironic (talk) 06:13, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Tooironic: I used "Classical Chinese" as I don't think "archaic" fits well. Dokurrat (talk) 08:25, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I wonder if almost all of the "archaic" Chinese terms we have on Wiktionary should be labelled "Classical Chinese". ---> Tooironic (talk) 08:28, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Tooironic: I don't know. Just as for the case 別白, the Wiktionary definition of "archaic" is "No longer in ordinary use, though still used occasionally to give a sense of antiquity". I don't think 別白 fit in this situation. Dokurrat (talk) 08:33, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Good point. I will use the "Classical Chinese" tag more from now often. Thank you. ---> Tooironic (talk) 08:36, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Tooironic: You're welcome. Dokurrat (talk) 09:06, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
