@TongcyDai, Bula Hailan, Frigoris, 沈澄心 The current definition of "National Government of the Republic of China" doesn't cover all uses of 國民政府 as we know the saying 國民政府遷台 (which happened in 1949, a year after the National Government of the Republic of China was replaced in 1948 after the promulgation of the constitution) is very common. It is also common to say that 國民政府 declared martial law in Taiwan (which began in May 1949). So what should be the definition of 國民政府? I see 國民政府 being used to refer to the ROC government during the evacuation from the Dachen Islands in 1955. When does 國民政府 "end" in most people's perception? @RcAlex36: Speaking for myself, I think the term 國民政府 refers to the government that started from 1927 and ended in 1949. Bula Hailan (talk) 14:35, 25 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
@RcAlex36, All I can say is that usages don't go away with the stroke of a pen or the promulgation of a new constitution. If that helps, I think it's perhaps fitting to rearrange the definitions in this way:
1. the (notice the definite article) <wiki link to "the" National Government>
2. a national government; sometimes referring to the continuation of the National Government (sense 1)
Is there a way to make it more concise? --Frigoris (talk) 14:40, 25 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
