Not walrus[edit]

The original use may not refer to a walrus, but if it has been in use in the language as a term for walrus, then we would still have a definition for that sense. You can always request that it be verified by adding {{rfv-sense}} to that line in the entry, then clicking on the + in the box that's created and adding an explanation that will be posted in Requests for Verification. If there's no evidence meeting the standards set forth in our Criteria for Inclusion that it's actually been used in that sense, it will be removed.
