@Justinrleung Shouldn't the example sentence use 嗎 instead of 麼? The example sentence is only an enquiry with no undertones, and does not make the presumption that the listener in fact knows what the speaker is saying. Stephen Li states that the former particle is for "enquiring", while the latter is for "yes/no type question with affirmative presumption". Chagneling (talk) 06:27, 17 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Chagneling: I don't really know. I guess it should be 嗎. (I changed it to 麼 because it seems to be the stereotypical Taishanese/Siyi question particle... I think I've heard some Siyi speakers [or imitators] use it and have always thought it's the normal question particle.
