Wuhan Mandarin

[edit]

@Justinrleung I was wondering, since the Wuhan dialect already exists as a category, maybe we could have a module already for Wuhan dialect, perhaps using Sichuanese pinyin, since they're both Southwestern Mandarin. The phonology is quite similar, except for the /l/ consonant in the old dialect at least. I'm assuming the 武汉方言词典 documents the modern Wuhan dialect. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 03:28, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Mar vin kaiser: I think we should be looking to match Hanyu Pinyin. This site uses a version of pinyin for Wuhan. We should probably see if their system works for us. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 05:46, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Justinrleung: Cool! I didn't know about this. Yeah, Hanyu Pinyin seems good also. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 05:55, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
