As used to spell borrowed Korean term baji: cannot verify

@Poketalker, I cannot find anything to verify that this kanji is used in Japanese to spell Korean 바지 (baji).

I do see the term in katakana as バジ (baji) at :w:ja:韓服#種類, which describes the components of traditional Korean hanbok dress.

Where did you find this usage? And is it clear that that text isn't simply using 袴 with the reading hakama, which baji resemble? ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │^{Tala við mig} 18:33, 13 November 2017 (UTC)

@POKéTalker -- From their About page, it sounds like their attestation criteria are not as strong as ours. I'm particularly concerned about their mention of datascraping Wikipedia; I wonder if they include any other Wikimedia sites, and possibly got paji as a reading of 袴 from the McCune-Reischauer romanization in the Korean section of our own entry? So yes, I think Jisho.org is a bit misleading -- and probably not just for foreign borrowings.

I would suggest that Jisho.org might be a good place to go for ideas, but also that anything you find there must be verifiable in other sources before addition here.

@Eirikr, recently checked the Digital Daijisen page on Kotobank and found the katakana transcriptions from the Korean (where the Jisho entries originate), how about that? ～ POKéTalker（═◉═） 06:18, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
