Penang khí-hông

@Mar vin kaiser, I'm wondering if this word is actually 起雄. @Frederick Campbell has brought this word to my attention on my talk page. It seems more likely to be 起癀 instead. In 闽南方言大词典, there's 發癀 and 癀發, which mean 發脾氣. 起癀 also exists in 台日大辭典, where it is glossed for its original meaning of "to have an inflamation". @Justinrleung: Well yeah, it does make sense. And the online source I used for this isn't really reliable with character selection. If the pronunciation and definition fits, then that's probably it. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 06:58, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
