Reason why is preferable to [edit]

For "kiáu", is preferable to for the following reasons.

  1. The correct (original) pronunciation of is already kiáu, while that of is káu (different).
  2. The meaning of is "bamboo rope" (nothing to do with gambling), while the meaning of is to submit money (which is what you do during gambling).

Conclusion: is more faithful to the meaning and pronunciation, unlike . Furthermore, unlike the other variants, 跋繳 and 跋筊 are listed in official dictionaries, so from all the variants, they're the best candidates for the actual entry.
