@Msasag Is {{quote|aho|π‘œ†π‘œ₯π‘œ‹π‘œͺπ‘œˆπ‘œ π‘œ€π‘œ¦π‘œ‘π‘œ€π‘œ¨π‘œˆπ‘œ«π‘œπ‘œ€π‘œ«π‘œΌ}} being used instead of {{quote|inc-mas|π‘œ†π‘œ₯π‘œ‹π‘œͺπ‘œˆπ‘œ π‘œ€π‘œ¦π‘œ‘π‘œ€π‘œ¨π‘œˆπ‘œ«π‘œπ‘œ€π‘œ«π‘œΌ}} so that Module:Ahom-translit automatically transliterates the text? If so, this term is being categorised as Category:Ahom terms with quotations instead of Category:Middle Assamese terms with quotations. Also, does CAT:Middle Assamese language use Category:Ahom script to such an extent that it should be added as a script for CAT:Middle Assamese language with either Module:Ahom-translit or a Module:inc-mas-Ahom-translit as the transliteration module for the Ahom script? Module:translit-redirect/data handles languages with more than one transliteration module. Kutchkutch (talk) 12:53, 28 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Kutchkutch Ahom script for middle Assamese was used in the 18th century Bar Amra manuscript, which is an Ahom-Assamese dictionary. It has Ahom terms with meanings in Assamese, written in Ahom script. For example in the sentence, "puu cham ba kokowrak". Here puu is the Ahom term for crab, cham ba means "points to" in Ahom and kokowrak (kΓ΅kΓΆra-k) means "to crab" in Middle Assamese. Or tat cham ba khere kapor katibor "tat points to cutting cloths with thatch". I only know this manuscript using Assamese in Ahom script. Msasag (talk) 13:51, 28 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Msasag Thanks for the explanations. In that case, {{quote|aho|π‘œ†π‘œ₯π‘œ‹π‘œͺπ‘œˆπ‘œ π‘œ€π‘œ¦π‘œ‘π‘œ€π‘œ¨π‘œˆπ‘œ«π‘œπ‘œ€π‘œ«π‘œΌ}} is fine. I would suggest adding |nocat=1 as {{quote|aho|π‘œ†π‘œ₯π‘œ‹π‘œͺπ‘œˆπ‘œ π‘œ€π‘œ¦π‘œ‘π‘œ€π‘œ¨π‘œˆπ‘œ«π‘œπ‘œ€π‘œ«π‘œΌ|nocat=1}} and {{catlangname|inc-mas|terms with quotations}} at the bottom of the entry, so that it is categorised as Middle Assamese terms with quotations rather than Ahom terms with quotations. I tried looking for "puu cham ba kokowrak" in http://sealang.net/archives/ahom/jp.htm, but couldn't find it there. Kutchkutch (talk) 13:41, 29 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Kutchkutch You'll find it here: http://sealang.net/ahom/ . Search "crab" and you'll find a photo of Bar Amra manuscript where it's mentioned. Msasag (talk) 14:53, 29 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
