the snowflake theory

[edit]

i recently removed a claim that this word might have been borrowed from qanuk (snowflake), saying it was unreferenced and unlikely that in 1835 we would br borrowing from Inuktitut. However it seems contact has been intermittent and one of the other theories (inuk) relies on that. But the claim I removed is still unreferenced, as the link provided just mentions that qanuk means snowflake and has nothing to do with the theory. if someone wants to restore it, i think it should be without the link. also, we should at least have a qanuk page to link to. thanks, Soap 11:08, 3 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Quotations on citations page

[edit]

@J3133: I wouldn't duplicate all the quotations which are in the entry on the citations page—I see little point in that. Basically, if there is a citations page I have a look at it, and if there are some useful quotations there which could be used in the entry, I will add them to the entry. If I have updated the quotation used in the entry, I'll update it on the citations page as well. — Sgconlaw (talk) 14:01, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
