capitalization

[edit]
Discussion moved from User talk:Fish bowl#eメール.

Should eメール be moved to Eメール? OJAD [1] and jisho.org [2] only gives the capitalized version, so I suspect Eメール is more common. FunnyMath (talk) 00:54, 28 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

@FunnyMath: google scholar:"eメール" / google news:"eメール" are also predominantly Eメール. It looks like a good idea to me. —Fish bowl (talk) 03:11, 28 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Do you think it's a good idea to convert Latin letters used in Japanese to full-width, for display purposes only, e.g.
To me, YouTuber (YouTuber) looks just fine, especially inside a Japanese text. You will find such spellings in Japanese news (not full texts but only words or abbreviations).
The Japanese fonts don't add the spacing. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 05:16, 28 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Fish bowl Thank you for your input. I've now moved the page. I don't have a strong opinion on the full-width Latin letters as I'm not too familiar with the Japanese language. But a look at the Japanese Wikipedia articles for Tシャツ [3] and Eメール [4] shows that the normal-width Latin letters seem to be commonly used. FunnyMath (talk) 20:09, 28 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
