Separate modern sense?[edit]

It seems like the name would've been historical for the silver white Field was talking about, which would mean the other "synonyms" were mistaken and misdirected. Field pointedly separates the others from his French white. Otoh, it's rather possible the name had broader application than the specific Parisian form he was thinking of or gained other broader senses in the 20th century. — LlywelynII 05:21, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
