Outrage gives this as a German translation, but my dictionary translates Frevel as "sin" or "crime". Kappa 17:12, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's outrage or crime (I wouldn't translate it with sin but it's a very old German word [I've never used, I think] and so the dictionary is probably right). Greetings Pill δ 17:18, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it does mean sin. It's usually used in a religious sense: a crime against God or something holy. The German entry gives the synonyms Sakrileg and Ketzerei.
