Women aren't guys, they're gals[edit]

It's quite sickening, disturbing and extremely ignorant to call women guys because by then you're calling those women men... WendyGKK (talk) 10:53, 6 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

@WendyGKK: Wiktionary, like most other dictionaries, is a descriptive dictionary,​ not a prescriptive one. We aim to describe how language is actually used, not make value judgements on how we think it should be used. In actual usage, guys is used both to mean “men” and (sometimes) to mean “people” in general.
