Plural ?[edit]

@Renard Migrant, Lmaltier, 2WR1, Jerome Charles Potts How is this pluralized? Still Mr, or something like Mrs? Benwing2 (talk) 18:43, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

MM. (and the most usual singular is M.) Lmaltier (talk) 21:18, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with Mʳ Maltier, but also fr:Mrs#Forme de nom commun, which i think is more relevant here, as "MM." is plural of "M.". Check also Messrs and Messrs., although if you check out their French Wikt counterparts, are English entries and not French ones. Methinks that is nitpicking : if you were to use that within a French text, all readers would understand what that means. --Jerome Potts (talk) 21:42, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You are right, but MM. tends to be preferred, probably because Mrs is ambiguous, as the English Mrs may also be used in French, when referring to English-speaking ladies. Lmaltier (talk) 21:51, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
