That description could be misleading, because of the "don't consume child porn". For starters, many NoMaps consume lolicon and shotacon which is a kind of child porn. So I think it would be better if you put in the description:

"1. (sexuality) Initialism of non-offending minor attracted person, a pedophile, hebephile or ephebophile who does not abuse children sexually nor support real children porn."

Be aware though that there are some pedophiles (but just a few) who consider themselves NoMaps and think that even real child pornography is OK in some circumstances. As the case where the material's child has already been rescued, she/he is an adult today and agrees to keep the video on the web. But this is controversial even among NoMaps. So maybe it's better to just erase that part in italics.

Just add some other stuff, I'm not entirely sure that hebephiles or ephebophiles could be considered Maps too. I believe the person who adds this thought that even not being children, teenagers are minors. But that's is arguable since is a matter of law convention and not scientifically based. As there are many places where teenagers are not considered minors.

And, about sexuality/paraphilia/illness. Well, since not even experts agree with those, I would suggest to simply remove all of them. So:

Maps = people who declare themselves as being sexually attracted to children. (And yes Maps = pedophile)

NoMaps = Non-offending Maps. Simply put Maps that commit to never offend. In other words: NoMaps are Maps who commit to never abuse children.

That, or something like that in my opinion would be the best description of those terms.

Please establish the other forms of Minor Attraction first before editing. This article does need to be expanded (on Wikipedia), with notable media coverage (MAP Flag) and a section on most-likely origin of the term. Proposal

The psych-laden term "abuse children" should be removed from this article and replaced with the more objective "engage in child sex offending, including pornography where it is illegal". Any ideas before I edit? 86Sedan 02:34, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
