Ng is now an ENGLISH surname? Honestly? You could then call any foreign surname a derived proper noun in English. Just because there are Chinese with this name living in English speaking countries? If there is a substantial (or any) amount of original English-speakers changing their surname to Ng, I will stand corrected. 87.208.70.193 20:13, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Well, it can't be Chinese - it uses the wrong script. There have been people with this surname living in England for a long time (4 people in the 1911 census). The birth of a Marjory Eva Ng was registered in Stepney (London) in 1905 - looks English to me. SemperBlotto (talk) 20:20, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
