Amish[edit]

Removed reference to the Amish. Maybe some mention of the Amish should be made, but the Amish composed a very small component of the Pennsylvania German population. Additionally, not all Amish speak Pennsylvania German, and not all Amish are of Pennsylvania German descent. — This unsigned comment was added by Jmcbaroggio (talkcontribs) at 00:25, 1 May 2013‎ (UTC).

Fair enough. It is true, though, that Amish make up the vast majority of speakers of Pennsylvania German today, though of course this wasn't always so. —Angr 10:28, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
