Cited. The most common usage is in pre-WW2 references to the country of Yugoslavia, or the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes as it was also formerly known (though see the 1982 quote). It seems to have designated that country in some US regulations of that era. I saw one use to mean the sprachraum of the South Slavic languages, and two pre-WW1 references (one explicitly including Bulgaria), but not enough to establish distinct senses. —Al-Muqanna المقنع (talk) 12:49, 17 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
