I think the word etymology is based on(aagil عاجل from arabic) which means the same

agilis goes back at least a couple thousand years, and was formed by combining elements that already existed in the language. There are well-documented intermediate forms in between. It's more likely that the Arabic word is a borrowing from French or English. Chuck Entz (talk) 17:14, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
