I question the assertion that Latin alea was derived from the Greek word "axis". Can someone provide a source? WCCasey (talk) 17:23, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
- Well, axis isn't a Greek word, but the etymology is dubious enough to require confirmation, anyway. I've posted a request on the Etymology scriptorium. Chuck Entz (talk) 00:03, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
