This definition should reflect that architected is not a regular English word, but mostly is used by software developers in place of "designed," or "designed the architecture for..." I've also writers use it where the more correct word would have been, produced. BP — This comment was unsigned.

The entry at architect reflects whatever the community has thought to incorporate. We don't have extensive entries for inflected forms like this. It is as regular as any of the many verbs that have formed from nouns (eg, "book", "paper", "carpet", "table", "knife"). People use words to lie fairly often.
