concerning the etystub[edit]

I always thought it was a genericized trademark (or just a trademark, even), but don't take my word for it.—msh210 22:24, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There are plenty of century-old court cases to read. I'd like not to just take the trademark-holder's side. Most cookbook usage has it capitalized, but I think I have some generic in my pantry.
