BAZAR[edit]
This is an older spelling of bazaar - it is not necessarily a misspelling. See Rudyard Kipling's Plain Tales From The Hills (1888). The word is Persian and occurs in several languages.

Hindi/Urdu[edit]
Is there an evidence that the word came to other languages via Hindi/Urdu (as this page suggests), rather than directly from Persian? Lovok Sovok 18:00, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
