chʼil łichxíʼí[edit]

Is chʼil łichxíʼí really a synonym? It must have come from somewhere, although it's disappeared as a definition. 07:18, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

To me chʼil łichxíʼí also can mean carrots. However, User:Seb az86556 feels that it does not have that meaning. It’s probably a matter of changing and evolving usage across time and in different parts of the reservation. —Stephen (Talk) 08:23, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Following Wiki proceedure, if it appears in a source, we can re-add it, making note of the fact that the term may have been used in the past but is no longer used, or widely used. 19:42, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Navajo is mostly just a spoken language. Most words do in appear in sources. When they do, the spelling can be all over the place, since Navajos were not taught to read or write their language. —Stephen (Talk) 19:33, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
