Surely any hair can be known by where it is on the body, such as facial hair, arm hair, leg hair and so on. Mglovesfun (talk) 21:52, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

Of course it can but there are indeed scientific differences and subtlties worthy of note. For example scalp hair is something you are born with and is different from the post pubescent androgenic hair, pubic hair is very different as well, eyebrows are on your face but are not facial hair a beard stache and sideburns are, leghair is androgenic hair in a specific place and pattern, even children have vellous hair on their legs but only men have leghair and only women shave their leghair, as for chesthair it grows in specific patterns as defined as chesthair and in theory although your shoulderblade or lateral chest are parts of your chest area if they have some sort of hair on them it is not chest hair, the stuff on your pectorals is. Also the existance of terms like leghair and chesthair as opposed to leg hair and chest hair show that they are pretty set terms and are not just descriptive such as pinky+hair and wrist hair, also of note are other formulaic terms like manhair. Also surely fourteen is just one fore than thirteen and one less than fifteen but just because they are easy to decipher compounds does not make them words and we should cover all words including anatomical compounds like heartbeat or chest hairLucifer (talk) 22:08, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
