Collectable ≠ collectible[edit]

Despite frequent misapplication, "collectable" does not strictly equal "collectible". "Collectible" is the older & still more common usage, when referring to items which are valued by collectors. In the strictest grammatical sense, anything which can be gathered is collectable, whereas collectible refers specifically to something gathered by collectors.
