Hyphens[edit]

Hi,

I think the hyphens between "common", "or" and "garden" are incorrect, as the words are not linked to each other but to the noun in this case.

For example, the common or garden beetle is either called the "common beetle" or the "garden beetle", but never the "common-or-garden beetle". It is the "common or garden beetle". (Compare "long-eared bat").

I suggest removal.
