Is this actually in use in English? I tried looking for "the emptor is", "the emptor should", "emptors are", but could not find anything compelling. PUC – 11:56, 2 July 2023 (UTC)

OED actually has 7 cites. Here are some more in the collocations "vendor and emptor" and "vendors and emptors": [4], [5], [6], [7], [8]. Here's one more: [9].
