maybe to integrate in the articel: in english texts I see it enourmously often that e.g. in the beginning of a sentence is followed by an etc. in the end. note, that this should never happen, either you give an example OR you put etc. — This comment was unsigned.

It's somewhat repetitive, but lots of things are (like "enormously" above and the "that" clause in the second sentence). We are not a style guide. Garner's Modern American Usage is a good comprehensive current (2009) one, but there are many more convenient and accessible ones, too. DCDuring TALK 19:07, 22 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
