Australian (& maybe NZ) pronunciation[edit]

Common Aussie pronounciation is "foal-adge" (I don't really know phonetics, but cutting & pasting from foal & the end of footage gives /'foʊlədʒ/ - I hope that's right.)

The majority of Aussies (do the British do this too?) also drop the first (where applicable) 'i' out of:

  • medicine (I know the British do this)
  • aviary
  • foliage
