Discussion: The origin of the word 'frill' is not listed. Is it possible that the word originates with Norse word, 'frilla', which denotes an unmarried woman inside of a relationship with a married couple, as part of the household, as in a polygamous marriage, except that she is not married to the man or the wife?

Possible but it seems difficult, since frill never means a person. This is the PGmc root. Soap 15:26, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
