Gorge vs throat vs gullet[edit]

What the diffence (technically) between such words?--83.42.123.179 14:56, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong etymology?[edit]

How can meaning 4 of etymology 1 possibly be "That which is gorged or swallowed, especially by a hawk or other fowl." use gorge as a verb if the etymology has only nouns? Surely the correct etymology is etymology 2, "From Middle English gorgen, a borrowing from Old French gorgier. ". 84.109.179.187 19:24, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Gorge rising[edit]

@Equinox, concerning your edit, the gorge in gorge rising is noun sense 3, not sense 2. — SGconlaw (talk) 01:59, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
