Latin

[edit]
Adjective
  1. (Medieval Latin) secretary; writer [1]
  1. ^ Thode, Ernest (1992) German-English Genealogical Dictionary[1], →ISBN:graphiarius (Lat.) - secretary, writer Burrill, Alexander (1850) A New Law Dictionary and Glossary[2], →ISBN:cancellarius: an officer in the lower Roman empire, otherwise called scriba, notarius, graphiarius, secretarius...

Issues:

  1. The 2nd reference is wrong.
    • The author is: Alexander M. Burrill.
    • The title is: A New Law Dictionary and Glossary: Containing [...]. Compiled on the Basis of Spelman's Glosary, and adapted to the jurisprudence of the United States; [...]. Part I
    • The work has no ISBN. In the link (to [3]) it's: "THE LAWBOOK EXCHANGE, LTD. Union, New Jersey 1998". So it's a reprint or something from a later year which might have an ISBN.
    • The text is (p. 176): "CANCELLARIUS. L. Lat. [...] An officer in the lower Roman empire, otherwise called scriba, notarius, graphiarius, secretarius [...]. Spellmann. [...]"
  2. By the definition, this is not an adjective but a noun sense and then also has a gender in Latin.
